2013 report warns of sweeping cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the Department of Defense
A 2013 report from the Inspector General of the Department of Defense (DOD) warned that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) was not adequately protected against electronic threats.
Muckrock requested the report via FOIA in July 2013, and received a copy in 2015; notably, DOD released the report in its entirety, despite the delay and its original designation as “For Official Use Only.”
