Summary:

After the Department of Justice (DOJ) obtained a court order against Twitter for information about users affiliated with WikiLeaks, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) crafted a summary of social-media company policies in response to user-data requests from authorities. EFF used the Freedom of Information Act to obtain some of the information for its compilation from DOJ.

Notes:

EFF has posted a summary of the social media sites' policies here: https://www.eff.org/files/EFF_Social_Network_Law_Enforcement_Guides-sprdsht.pdf
