Summary:

Federal inspectors found high levels of salmonella in half of the ground turkey at the largest Jennie-O Turkey processing plant in Willmar, Wisc., a level that was one of the highest in the nation and came close to failing the federal standard, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported, citing test results from 22 U.S. plants obtained through FOIA. Levels of salmonella at two other Jennie-O plants in Minnesota and Wisconsin also were higher than the industry average.
